In support of the bill to end abuse in educational institutions, Paris Hilton issued a statement in which she spoke about the experience of violence in adolescence. It is reported by Peopletalk.
This happened at the boarding school Provo Canyon School, where Paris's parents sent her at the age of 16 for 11 months as punishment for her endless parties.
“My name is Paris Hilton and I have experienced violence in an educational setting. Today I speak on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of children currently in boarding schools throughout the United States. For the past 20 years, I have had a constant nightmare of being kidnapped in the middle of the night by two strangers, ransacked and locked in a back room. I was subjected to verbal, psychological and physical abuse on a daily basis. I was cut off from the outside world and deprived of all my rights. Without a diagnosis, I was forced to take medications that made my body feel weak and numb. I was followed even when I was taking a bath or taking a shower. I felt them looking at my naked body - it was humiliating ",
- shared Hilton.
For the first time, a celebrity spoke about this in the documentary This Is Paris, which premiered in mid-September last year on her YouTube channel.
