Mikhail Efremov's lawyer Elman Pashayev said that the actor did not try to commit suicide. So he commented on the publication "Interlocutor" that appeared earlier in a number of media reports about the artist's suicide attempts.
Pashayev criticized journalists for posting such publications and recalled that all these materials are read by Efremov's wife and children.
“He has three minor children, the eldest of the daughters receives a paid education. Of course, he made no attempts to commit suicide,”the lawyer emphasized.
He also noted that since the day of the accident, the artist refuses the help of doctors, and doctors do not come to him.
“And if an ambulance really came to him on a regular basis, one of the journalists would have filmed it a long time ago. After all, at least three or four correspondents are always on duty under Efremov's house, even at two o'clock in the morning I saw them there,”Pashayev explained.
On June 10, the media reported that Efremov allegedly tried to commit suicide. It was alleged that the relatives noticed a crimson furrow on the artist's neck, which is a characteristic sign when hanging, and they took psychiatric and ambulance specialists to him. Later, they doubted that the actor really made an attempt to commit suicide.
On the evening of June 8, Efremov arranged an accident in the center of Moscow. His car drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a van, whose driver, Sergei Zakharov, died in hospital due to blood loss. Efremov himself was not injured, he was sent under house arrest until August 9. Relatives of the courier Sergei Zakharov, who died in an accident with Mikhail Efremov, said that they want to appoint a real time for the artist.
