On the air of the program "The Fate of a Man" Marat Basharov told in detail how he beat his second wife Ekaterina Arkharova. The actor could have spent five years behind bars, but at some point the actress withdrew the statement from the police.
Basharov admitted that he repents of his deed, and urged men "not to let go of their hands":
"I now want to appeal to all men who have aggression towards a person next to you. If you feel this aggression in yourself, then just leave. Why are you provoking yourself? Let her drink with you. Go to another room."
The actor remembered how he performed with the choreographer Averbukh in the ice performance. The artist had a lot of work at that time, and Catherine often came to him:
"I worked every day. She had no job then. She was resting beautifully, in full. She drank. I called her parents. I asked them to take her away."
He raised his hand to his wife when he returned from Sochi. Basharov was outraged that his wife met him drunk:
“I told her:“Sorry, but you're not sober.”I put her out on the street and closed the door. Katya started smashing the windows with her hands. She cut all her hands. It was a nightmare and horror. - otherwise it was impossible to calm her down. And then the enchanting finale of our love began. These are the consequences of that fight."
The actor also admitted that he and Arkharova drank together. Basharov advised all women to go to self-defense courses in order to always be able to stand up for themselves:
"I understood that I was hitting a man who is younger than me. I will tell all women. Go to fight club so that men do not offend you. Each of us has our own truth. I just did not say anything about this."
