Director and TV presenter Julius Gusman commented on the fatal accident caused by Mikhail Efremov, and also criticized the public reaction. He told about this in an interview with Moskovsky Komsomolets.
The director described Efremov as "an amazing actor and an amazing person," and later noted that some great people also suffered from alcoholism. Guzman explained that he is not going to justify the actor, but condemns the society, which condemns him.
“But the stench that comes from TV screens, from the Internet is a crazy and immoral hunt for wolves. As if people were waiting to finally break loose from the chain,” the director said.
Guzman was accused of pity for Efremov, but he answered them: "I understand that Sergei Zakharov died for nothing. A drunken hussar flew into him, and that's all. But what is torn apart by the soul of Mikhail Olegovich Efremov, I know for sure."
Previously, Rambler reported that Mark Rudinstein had spoken about Efremov.
