Another 20 million rubles will be divided equally among the rest of the victims, including the wife, brother and second son of the deceased. On July 11, it turned out that Zakharov's relatives were demanding a total of 40 million rubles from Efremov.

Later this information was confirmed by the representative of Efremov Elman Pashayev, who called the victims' appetites "rather big".

Efremov's lawyer Elizaveta Shargorodskaya also stated that the total amount requested was close to 40 million rubles.

“I would like to note that Mr. Pashayev is dealing with the issue of payments, and until today I did not know about the claims or the amount of material claims. I think that the journalists just misunderstood me. On the contrary, I contacted a colleague and he, referring to a source close to the family, confirmed that it was about forty million,”

- said Shargorodskaya.

On July 11, lawyer for Zakharov's relatives, Alexander Dobrovinsky, denied this information, calling it a provocation. A TASS source added that they will demand more than 1 million rubles.

The accident happened on June 8th. Efremov's car, who was in a state of alcoholic intoxication, drove into the oncoming lane and crashed into a van, the driver of which died in the hospital due to blood loss. The artist himself was not injured, he was sent under house arrest until August 9. Efremov was charged under Part 4 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Violation of traffic rules, resulting in the death of a person by negligence”). The maximum punishment for it is 12 years in prison.
