Opera diva Anna Netrebko, who yesterday performed on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg, returning home to Vienna, found herself almost at the epicenter of terrible events. The singer said that in the capital of Austria, where she has lived with her family for a long time, there was a shooting.

“Right next to us. We're all right. Our neighbor saw the shooting, she is very scared. I saw shooting, panic, people running, screaming,”said the star on her Instagram in English.
In Vienna on the evening of Monday, November 2, shooting took place in several places of the city at once, which the city authorities called a terrorist attack. Those armed with long-barreled weapons fired at passers-by, and as a result, several people ended up in the hospital. Two were killed.
“They were very close - they ran around peaceful Vienna with machine guns and sowed death,” Netrebko wrote.
According to the RIA Novosti portal, at present the townspeople have been banned from leaving their homes, since the exact number of criminals has not been established. The operation to detain them is still ongoing.
