The People's Artist still recalls her first trip to the sea with undisguised fear. In an interview with reporters, Elena said that in the third year of the institute she went to audition for the painting by Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich "Two under one umbrella." After the audition ended, Yakovleva went to the big water to enjoy the beautiful views.
Yakovleva noted that she never liked to swim and did not know how, but then she really wanted to sunbathe. In addition, circumstances were pressing - it was possible to quickly "fry" only on the breakwater, on which people were already standing. Then Elena did not find another way how to achieve the goal, and went to the object by swimming. This was a big mistake.
“I swam like a dog. I did not know that near the breakwater the waves beat in the face And began to sink. I screamed, tried to hold on to the breakwater, and it is slippery, I could not climb. In the end, someone figured out to pull me out. I, bloody, began to clutch at the sunbathers in fright. With the sea, I'm still on "you",
- convey the memories of Yakovleva "7 days".
Now Elena, as before, continues to fly to the seas, however, she does this not for the sake of water, but to warm up and admire the beautiful landscapes. Yakovleva never learned to swim.
