British actress Tilda Swinton has declared herself queer - a person who does not correspond to traditional sexual and gender identity. This is reported by the Vogue edition.
“I'm sure that in my case queer is about sensuality. I've always felt queer. I was looking for my queer circus and found it. This is my world. Now I am in the same family with directors Wes Anderson, Bong Chung Ho, Jim Jarmusch, Luca Guadagnino, Lynn Ramsey, and Joanna Hogg,”said the artist. Among her close people, she also named the dead fashion designer Kard Lagerfeld and director Derek Jarman.
Swinton stated that despite collaborating with such renowned filmmakers, she had special career ambitions in her youth.
“If you asked me about my plans at the age of 10 or 20, they were only to be with my family, to have friends who make me laugh or laugh at my jokes themselves, and to live in Scotland by the sea, having a bunch of dogs and a vegetable garden,”the actress admitted.
60-year-old Tilda Swinton is best known for her roles in films such as The Curious Story of Benjamin Button, Suspiria, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, Only Lovers Alive, The Beach and The Avengers: Endgame ".
