The son of the People's Artist of the USSR Lyudmila Kasatkina, Alexey, spoke about the last days of his mother's life.
The health of the actress deteriorated sharply after the funeral of her husband, director Sergei Kolosov. Kasatkina never hid that she considers marriage to Kolosov to be her main achievement, and after his death she could no longer live as before.
The director passed away on February 11, 2012 after a long illness.
“On the day of the funeral, my mother asked to be given the opportunity to say goodbye to him not in public. We brought her to the ritual hall of the Central Clinical Hospital two hours before the start of the official memorial service. Then there were rumors that my mother was brought there in a wheelchair. No, mom came up to him herself! Silently stood and looked at dad. Very kind of defenseless. As if she had lost the meaning of life. What was she thinking at that moment? What did you promise in your mind? I do not know. Not a word was spoken aloud. Mom bent down, kissed, stood there a little more. I turned and walked slowly away ",
- recalls Alexey.
A few days later, Kasatkina's condition suddenly worsened. She was in an inadequate condition and the family had to admit her to the hospital. According to her son, after the death of her husband, the actress lost the meaning of life and no longer wanted to fight for her:
“My father took my mother away with him. In the hospital, being in a semi-conscious state, in a semi-delirious state, my mother often saw him in front of her.
Kasatkina passed away on February 22, 2012 - a week and a half after her husband.
In a conversation with the "Interlocutor" publication, Alexei admitted: he wants to believe that now his mother is in the best of worlds and she managed to reunite with her lover.
